Whole Foods Boycott and Picketing

The Green Party of Nevada and Washoe Greens join in the national picket and boycott of Whole Foods Markets after comments made by CEO Co-Founder John Mackey in the Wall St Journal decrying Medicare for all, smearing with the lie that HealthCare reform will bankrupt America and telling us that healthcare is not a right for all Americans but a privilege for those who work at places like Whole Foods in an article titled "The Whole Foods Alternative to ObamaCare."

The article goes on to advertise eating from Whole Foods will help keep people healthier but the Organic Consumers Association has long taken exception with many products sold at WF labeled organic but not being certified as such. It is unacceptable that the CEO of a major corporation would take advantage of a sometimes violent national maelstrom to advertise his company.

Unions have long opposed Mackey's union busting tactics among employee organizers.

For these many reasons, WashoeGreens encourages you to boycott Whole Foods and join us in picketing the store on S. Virginia. Map
